Black+Decker 2400W Steam Iron with Auto Shutoff

The Black+Decker 2400W Steam Iron combines high-powered heating, controlled steam delivery, and essential safety features for efficient everyday garment care. The Black+Decker 2400W Steam Iron X2450 B5 is a 2400W Steam Iron designed to heat quickly and handle stubborn creases with less effort. As an Auto Shutoff Steam Iron with a smooth Ceramic Soleplate Iron surface, it offers a practical balance of performance, convenience, and protection for busy households preparing workwear, uniforms, casual clothing, and occasion garments.

Its 2400W heating system supports rapid preparation, reducing the time spent waiting before ironing can begin. Consistent heat across the soleplate helps produce dependable results over different sections of a garment. An adjustable temperature knob lets users select a suitable setting for common fabric types, making it easier to move from lighter materials to thicker clothing. Following each garment’s care label and choosing the correct temperature helps protect fabrics while achieving a crisp, presentable finish.

The ceramic-coated soleplate is designed for smooth movement across fabric. Its low-friction surface helps reduce dragging and makes it easier to guide the iron around buttons, collars, cuffs, seams, and pleats. Ceramic coating also supports even heat distribution, helping prevent concentrated hot spots during normal use. This smooth gliding action can reduce the physical effort required during longer ironing sessions and supports neat results across shirts, trousers, dresses, school uniforms, and household fabrics.

Continuous steam output reaches up to 35 grams per minute, providing steady moisture to relax fibres and remove routine wrinkles. For deep creases or thicker fabrics, the 90 grams per minute turbo steam function delivers a stronger concentrated burst. This additional steam can help tackle folded areas, heavier cotton, stubborn trouser lines, and garments that have remained compressed in storage. Variable steam controls allow the output to be adjusted according to the fabric and ironing task.

Vertical steam provides added flexibility for garments and fabrics that are easier to treat while hanging. Users can refresh jackets, dresses, shirts, and curtains without placing them flat on an ironing board. The spray function can also apply targeted moisture to particularly dry or creased areas before the soleplate passes over them. Together, spray, continuous steam, turbo steam, and vertical steaming provide useful options for both complete ironing sessions and quick last-minute touch-ups.

A large 380ml water tank supports longer ironing sessions with fewer interruptions for refilling. This capacity is useful for households that regularly prepare several garments at once. The anti-drip system helps limit unwanted water marks when ironing at lower temperatures, while the anti-calc system helps manage mineral buildup within the steam mechanism. A self-cleaning option further simplifies routine care and supports steady steam performance when used according to the product instructions.

Safety is strengthened by the two-way automatic shutoff system, which switches the appliance off when it remains idle. This feature provides valuable reassurance during busy mornings or when attention is briefly drawn away from the ironing area. It does not replace careful handling, but it adds practical protection alongside sensible habits such as placing the iron securely, disconnecting it after use, emptying unused water, and allowing it to cool before storage.

The 1.8-metre power cord provides comfortable reach across the ironing board, while the 360-degree swivel connection helps reduce twisting and tangling during movement. The modern purple and white body combines a distinctive appearance with straightforward controls. Its balanced construction and accessible adjustment knob make the Black+Decker 2400W Steam Iron convenient for regular household use without adding unnecessary complexity to the ironing routine.

For delivery, storage, and stock planning, the retail package measures approximately 31.2 × 15.8 × 12.8 cm and weighs approximately 1.4 kg. These compact packaged measurements make the appliance manageable for shelf placement and household storage. With fast heating, strong steam performance, a ceramic soleplate, multiple maintenance systems, and automatic shutoff protection, the X2450-B5 delivers an efficient and positive solution for dependable garment care. It is especially suitable for homes that value faster ironing, versatile steam control, safer operation, comfortable cord movement, and simple maintenance in one capable appliance.
